A Zurkhaneh sports’ training course for seven days, particularly for participants from South and Central American countries started yesterday morning. Participants are from the countries that recently have joined to the International Zurkhaneh sports Federation (IZSF) as the members.The course is running in the MEYGOON city 32 km away from Tehran. The course is organized by IZSF with sponsorship of Iranian tourism organization and Council of city of MEYGUN municipality.

The course includes management, coaching and training of zurkhaneh sports. From the following countries of central and South America namely Argentina, Belize, Cuba, Costa Rica, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Peru; each country has a person as the Chairman and an interested athlete as the coach in educational course. Topics of course are given in separate classes for managers and coaches. All together12 coaches (all men) and 12 managers (3 women) are having the training course. These women and men in returning to their home countries will do their best for speeding education and attracting enthusiast athletes towards the Zurkhaneh sports.
The opening ceremony of the course took place on Friday morning with participation of Dr. Mehralizadeh the president of IZSF, Mr. Souleiman Abdul Vahedov the first vice president of IZSF, Mr. Ayoobi chief of the City Council, Mr. Saveh Shemshaki representative of Tourism organization, Dr. Miri chief of IZSF medical committee and  a group of athletes and coaches of Traditional sports .Mr. Ayoobi gave welcome to the guests and delivered some information about the Meygun city and wished a happy stay for them.
In the countinuation of the ceremony Souleiman Abdul Vahedov first vice president of IZSF from Tajikistan thanked the organizers and sponsors of the course and said: “hope that such as Tajikistan country this sport could spread in other parts of the world. At the moment in Dushanbeh, the capital city of Tajikistan we have a Zurkhaneh, all the time, the zurkhaneh is host of 300 athletes and almost it is never empty during the week days. I would like to express my sincere thanks to Dr. Mehralizadeh and his colleagues in the international federation; despite all the hardships, they could lead their task successfully. “
Dr. Mehralizadeh also said:”we in Asia, Africa, and Europe and even in Australia had activities .During the last week we had European zurkhaneh sports   Championship in Belarus .But this is the first time that we have started our activity seriously in the American continent. “He added “This course is based over new policy of our federation, no longer separately   we are going to dispatch MURSHED and Coach to other countries, but we have invited a sport manager along with a coach to our country. After getting necessary training they would be back to their countries and would attempt to train and expansion of this sport .Then in a due time they would report the outcome of the work to central office of IZSF in Tehran. Surely this method will have a significant impact in the cost and final resulting.
