The 2nd Asian Zurkhaneh Sports Championship, 22-27 July 2008, was held in Kathmandu – Nepal.

This event was inaugurated by Nepal Prime Minister, Mr. Prachanda. He mentioned that Zurkhaneh Sports made a tight relationship between Nepali people.
20 following Asian Countries were participating in this Championship:
Islamic Republic of Iran, Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Republic of Tajikistan, Iraq, Syria, Palestine, Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Chinese Taipei, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Philippines, South Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Thailand, Malaysia.
The 5th Executive Committee meeting was held on 25th July in Kathmandu as well as the Asian Confederation meeting.
Before this Championship students of 10 Schools of Nepal were trained by IZSF expert Coaches, and its worthy to mention that 6000 Schools of Nepal were involved in Championship arrangements.
