Philippe Perinet co –CEO more particularly in charge International operations of Peace and Sport Organization had a trip to Iran. During this trip philippe twice met Dr. Mehralizadeh President of the International Zurkhaneh Sports Federation. In these meetings, both sides emphasized on establishing mutual cooperation, organizing a joint championship was one of the main topics of the meetings.
Phillipe Prinet by presence at Sajjadeiyeh Zurkhaneh got familiar with Zurkhaneh sports and after this visit he noted:” We are pursuing to achieve respect, friendship and non- discrimination in peace and sport organization, I could say that fortunately in Zurkhaneh sports the principle is based on these aspects, exercises which are practiced in goud (pit) of Zurkhaned are spotting on ethical and have high priority over sport movements. Zurkhaneh Sports is one of the few sports in the world where moral orientation is the main characteristic in it. Unfortunately, at the moment achieving medal and becoming champion has become more important than the main prophecy of sport namely ethics, health and fitness. Those have overshadowed upon morality, a problem with the name of doping is exactly indicating this affair. I hope that by having more close cooperation with the International Zurkhaneg sports Federation we would be able to expand main objectives of the sport in the world.”
Dr. Mehralizadeh said:” a few months ago on a trip to Monaco I participated at the annual forum of the peace and sport. I realized that this organization is just looking for something that we have as the base and foundation in the zurkhaneh sports which is respect and ethics.
For this reason in a meeting which I had with Mr. joel Bouzou the president of this organization, I introduced Zurkhaneh sports which was welcomed by him. He announced interest to become familiar with this sportive discipline which has put such importance to morals and loyalty, we agreed to expand mutual cooperation and trip of Mr. Philippe is in this direction."
Also Mr. Kaveh Mehrabi former member of National Badminton team of I.R.IRAN who has participated in Olympic Games was accompanying Mr.Philippe in this trip as the ambassador of peace and sport organization in the Middle East said: “The peace and sport organization is to this belief that with sport we can solve many social problems. Still the role and aims of sport in promotion of social is not well known. Fortunately when authorities of peace and sport organization got familiarity with International Zurkhaneh sports and influence of it upon the ethics, politeness of athletes they came to this belief that there are common points among aims of both organizations. For this reason this trip took place to get use from existed potentials Zurkhaneh sports in the order to fulfill the demands of peace and sport organization.”
A brief introduction of Kaveh Mehrabi: is a professional Iranian badminton player. He was born, on5 May 1982 in Tehran . On April 10, 2003 Mehrabi moved to Copenhagen, Denmark to become the first Iranian professional badminton player and practice at the International Badminton Academy. He participated as Badminton player of Iran at the 2008 Summer Olympics of Beijing.
Kaveh is today a member of the ‘Champions for Peace’ club, a group of more than 80 famous elite athletes committed to serving peace in the world through sport, created by Peace and Sport, a Monaco-based international organization. His high World Ranking is 59.
In continuation of this trip Mr. Philippe Perinet had separate visits with Mr. Shahnazi General Secretary of National Olympic Committee and Mr. Hamid Reza Garshasbi General Director of Minister’s office and Advisor of the Sport and youth Minister.
