Undoubtedly, All Iranian athletes participated Zurkhaneh sports and Koshti Pahlavani tend to attend Asian and World Arenas and win achievements.
This was the first words of Alireza Masahi, head coach of the Iranian zurkhaneh team in Bangladesh championship. Educated in electric engineering and experienced in Zurkahneh sports for 30 years, he is now the 7th scored Morshed of the Iranian federation.
About the quality of competitions, Masahi said:”Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Iraq and Nepal showed a very good progress than their past, and there is much hope for the future of this sport.”
For the Iranian attendance at this championship, Masahi noted: “Our team which was the tournament’s champion, consisted of athletes from the provinces of Mazandaran, Tehran, Kerman, Isfahan, Sanandaj , etc..
“With regard to the present status, our team will be surly the champion of these competitions. Because Iran as the center of this sport should be the best example for Asian and World Countries”, head coach of the Iranian Zurkhaneh team added.
“Because of the principles of the international federation, athletes in Individual level should be members of the zurkhaneh team, therefore, our champions in individual arts could not participate in the competitions and we had to utilize our team members.”
