Secretary General of the Turkish Zurkhaneh Sports Federation said: “With detailed planning and boarding operations, his country plans to be the zurkhaneh sports gateway to Europe”.
“Zurkhaneh sports officially were received into Turkey during the Zurkhaneh Sports World Cup 2010 hold in Konya, and was soon welcomed by the public. This course is currently underway in Turkey›s 26 provinces and 5 provinces to be actively pursued”, Coskun Bilgi said.
He added that the Turkish and Iranian cultures are very close as two brother nations. This sport, considered as a course for the brave and defenders of their nation and public, is integrated in the cultures of these countries. No doubt Turkish families and athletes will be soon attracted to it.
Referring to scientific efforts conducted on zurkhaneh sports in Turkey, Coskun Bilgisaid: “For many years this sport has been academically of importance in Turkish schools and universities, some of which have also written about the zurkhaneh sports”.
Secretary General of the Turkish Zurkhaneh Sports hopes that “by acquiring required standards we soon will become one of the first ranking federations in Turkey”. «Our main goal is to be the gateway to Europe for this course. In this way, by hosting the Word Cup 2011 in Antalya which Zurkhaneh Sports will coincide with the Public Sports World Cup, we will introduce this sport to all participant nations. Certainly, it would be a great job if we introduce and forward this course to 20 countries, he asserted.
