According to IZSF Public Relations report quoted by The Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting : In an interview with The  Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting Reporter .Afsharzadeh stated about organizing the 1st South Asian Championships that this sport was established and inaugurated 13 years ago and at that time I was used to be the I.R. Iran National Olympic committee General Secretary , I wanted to get the approval of some countries by introducing this sport to Olympic Council of Asia to be able to develop and promulgate it in a better way and attend the Asian Championships officially and get the approval and confirmation of Olympic Council of Asia . With respect to the changes made to the structure and body of Federation , unfortunately this matter was postponed , but on the other hand , luckily we could publicize and develop this sport by the assistance ,support and  emphasis of our Government officials and expand it in different countries and introduce and present Pahlevani ( Heroic & Chivalry) movement to many countries and now 85 countries are members of International Zurkhaneh Sports &Koshti Pahlevani Federation . We are in direct contact with many of these countries and exchange correspondence with them and since Mr.Mehralizadeh have allocated much time to the International Zurkhaneh Sports Federation and hard efforts have been made until today , this International Federation has now reached a proper formation and structure . It has a compiled and modified Constitution and consists of different committees and now we are educating and training various countries on this area .It is to be mentioned that we need much more time to develop this sport in wider range . We have made some proper educational videos and films about this sport to provide the countries with them . At first we intended to prepare a 4-year plan for International Federation and have done this job efficiently and other actions are being taken . I hope that  at the end of December 2017 we will be able to apply and enforce the calendar completely and finish the activities using the educational courses and seminars . For the first time Zurkhaneh Sports &KoshtiPahlevani included in the program of  the Islamic Solidarity Games and experienced its participation officially and those nations that hadn’t send their athletes to the Islamic Games attended directly the mentioned Games and watched this sport competitions personally  and somehow touched it from a close distance . We have tried to proceed step by step . It is difficult to develop and publicize this sport across the world .

When Volleyball reached Iran , there was a tour , ball and a pitch ; but in Zurkhaneh Sport it is not that much easy , there should be a Morshed (Mentor ) who can recite the poems very well , moreover he should be familiar with the culture of this sport . Meel , Kabadeh and Sang is needed and these should be a separate Federation for all of these items . The countries can’t prepare them by themselves , instead we provide them with the required facilities and equipment and send them to the countries . It is hard to do so , nonetheless by making efforts and using the budget we have at hand ,we hope to provide better conditions and train skilful coaches for this sport in other countries  so  that we make use of own coaches and referees less than before . All countries of the world have such sports , for example South Korea developed Taekwondo and since 1998 that we managed to obtain one medal in this sport , you now can see that how much Taekwondo has changed in the world . How much the Koreans have given facilities to us on this area . When at that time the Coach named Ponsema came to Iran from Korea was a single young man , but he stayed in Iran and got married to a Korean woman and he is still living in Iran . This coach got accustomed to Iran and is owed to sport of the Islamic Republic of Iran .Countries like China , Japan , South Korea have such sports . Karate belongs to Japan . Wushu belongs to China , I want to say that there is the  ground of this activity and sport available in all countries , but in Zurkhaneh Sport the countries don’t have any background and we must start the work from the very beginning or zero point . We hope that we will be able to include Zurkhanhe Sports in the program of 2018 Indonesia Asian games .
This is the first time we are going to organize this championship in South Asia and I want you to know that we have provided all the necessary arrangements and equipment to hold such big event , this would be a turning point for Asian countries to be able to be active in Zurkhaneh Sport & Koshti Pahlevani . We were supposed to meet with H.E Mr.Sheikh Ahmed Al-Fahad Al-Sabah ,Esteemed President of OCA to be able to get his approval and if we could do so which is accessible then we will be able to organize this championship at the Indonesia Asian Games in a dramatic way and as test event so that all 45 countries that are OCA members could watch Zurkhaneh Sport Competitions personally .
Most of the countries in the world will display their native and indigenous games at the 2018 Indonesia Asian Games  and I think this championship  would be the best opportunity to show Zurkhaneh Sport to all participants . As far as I know the culture and society of my country , I believe that this sport will be developed and generalized and by the emphasis of our Government Dignitaries  we will see more success and achievement of this sport in all around the world .I am sure more members will be added and affiliated to International Zurkhaneh Sport & Koshti Pahlevani Federation in the near future .
